Importance of Videos in Universal Search

As Google users are adapting to universal search, we are finding that getting your brand name onto the first page of results has never been more valuable. Beyond the obvious desire for your company website to rank well, businesses should now take the next step to optimize other brand building tactics.

YouTube recently surpassed Yahoo! as the second largest search engine in the world, and is also the third most visited website on the internet. Google (and other engines) recognized this opportunity to ensure users not only get the best results, but also give users the best options.

Unlike ordinary searches you have performed in the past, you probably didn’t click on results 1, 2 or 3. Almost assuredly, you would be most interested in the fourth result: the videos!
