Drilling Down and Rocking Out

In the metalworking industry, more efficient drilling is cause for celebration. In the agency world, a great microsite is equally buzz-worthy. Which is why we were in a particularly festive mood at the recent Business Marketing Association (BMA) 2013 Tower Awards, where LoSasso and Sandvik Coromant took home the bronze in “Web Presence – Microsite or Landing Page,” one of the most competitive categories with 27 submissions.

The Sandvik Coromant Drilling Knowledge Resource Hub won the honors, against stiff competition from some of Chicago’s top B-to-B agencies. This resource-rich microsite—complete with a sophisticated parallax design—positioned Sandvik Coromant as an authority on drilling solutions by showcasing an extensive library of case studies, videos, test data, webcasts, technical articles and white papers.

The Tower Awards party—now in its 30th year—took place at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Chicago. Nominees mingled and snacked to a soundtrack of live-band karaoke, and despite the musical talent of our Creative Director, we LoSassins passed on our chance to take the mic. For now, we’ll stick to our less audible creative abilities.
